Just a typical winter in Az. All the fruit is getting close to ripe near the end of January. The Hot tub is in full swing, sunsets are a little more interesting, and fires in the evening after smoking ribs and chicken in the afternoon are becoming the perfect way to end the day.
Settling in well. Just waiting till the end of the holidays for work to pick back up again
Happy holidays to all friends and family, old and new, past and present.

From the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls Texas, to Flathead Lake in NW Montana. It has been a hell of a ride, and one frought with misfortune, but Im so glad to be so close to being done moving family and quitting this career forever. I will miss my travels across the great expanse of the U.S. and will still find things of great beauty to put here on my blog, but memories of being a trucker in america will last a lifetime. Some bad, but most good, and almost all filled with adventure of some sort. I only hope I have the great opportunity to fill my vision and lenses with views from around the world. I have U.S. Internet again, so I will try to post as much as I can.

Images from unloading in downtown Seabeck Washington. Found probably the most beautiful spot in the world to unload this shipment on a shuttle. It was amazing when the tide went out and I could walk the oyster beds and rummage for sea life. Great little seaside town with freindly people and even great food. Was an absolute pleasure working there.

Visiting my Sister, Gaofeng, and the Nieces sure was a great time while waiting for bad news about the truck. Fiona is a great help to have around this summer with her two little sisters. I sure do love my Nieces!!!

Work in progress

After almost 7 years off the road. Mazda is finally complete! Not a cheap project, but one completed by Elliot at Turblown engineering to perfection. Every component has been upgraded or replaced. Even the A/C has been restored to perfection. I plan on taking her for a cross country journey when I get back to Phoenix to break in the engine, and test out those 265 horsies. She even passed emissions with perfect test scores. Nice job Elliot. Ill see you soon to collect my girl.

A little bbq chicken, a trip to the Oho de Agua in the mangalares, and the local ruins of a civilization that existed over 1000 years ago. THis place is amazing. We even had a diamondback rattler that had to be "taken out" show up on the porch. Best trip so far! Till im back in October after driving down.

Trip to the beach house in Telchac Puerto..

I was lucky enough to spend 5 days working on a tan, and fishing everyday right off the back yard beach head. Was some of the best fishing just for the variety in species. What a luxury. Even filled the pool up to fend off the heat without the salt of the sea water destroying zippers on clothing. Amazingly, the sea eventually overwhelms anything metal and destroys it. It would be a tough venture to own a house on the beach as the maintenance is oerwhelming. It would be easier to rent a house than own one. Best time though.

Conquering the mountain at squaw peak!

Yup. I kicked its ass. It was something I am going to do every time I go to Phoenix. What a blast. Sadly, Camelback mountain was closed that day due to a hiker death. That hill is next on the docket for team Zissiou.
